The Samastha Kerala Darul Islam Yatheemkhana (Orphanage) has been started in 1965 with a view to look after and educate the poor and orphan destitute of the locality.

There are about 201 inmates housed in the orphanage at present and they are given both secular and technical education by providing free food, clothing, medical aid etc.... They are given necessary training in the field of printing, binding, composing and other technical education too.
